CentralWorld: The largest Lifestyle Shopping Destination in Bangkok

It is located in Pathum Wan district at the Ratchaprasong Intersection in one of Bangkok's busiest shopping and tourism districts.

It is a shopping plaza and complex in Bangkok, Thailand. It is the third largest shopping complex in the world. This shopping complex offers one of the most exciting shopping experiences in Bangkok.

Occupying an area of 550,000 square meters of retail space and a total area size of 830,000 square meters – that is 30% larger than any other shopping centre in central Bangkok – CentralWorld is now officially the largest lifestyle shopping complex in Southeast Asia.

Central World Buidling

In May 19, 2010, CentralWorld was one of the many properties of Bangkok set on fire by members of the Red Shirts anti government protestors as they were being cracked down after months of violent demonstration which included complete blockage of the Rachaprasong shopping district. The portion of the complex most affected was the Zen department store and its adjacent annex. The owners later indicated that portions of the center could be back in operation in as little as six months.

It is located in 61 Srinakarin Road, Nongbon, Pravet, Bangkok 10250, Thailand. The mall officially opened in August 24, 2010. Paradise Park brings a spectacular shopping mall scene. The building itself has a unique design of elements in nature with floral and aquatic influences on exterior wall textures. In each floor you can see beautiful pictures of natures.

It has four stories shopping mall and it has seven shopping zones, including dining, wellness, digital, banking, fashion, edutainment and leisure.

In my one year stay of Bangkok, I’ve been to many giant shopping malls in but for as me, ParadisePark is a very nice and unique place for shopping and dining. I highly recommend this shopping mall to all of my friends who happened to visit here in Bangkok.

It opens to the public in 1938. Dusit Zoo is the oldest zoo in Bangkok. It was built by King Chulalongkorn. Dusit zoo is one of the most popular zoos in Thailand.

The park area is nearly 30 hectares of size and has 1600 types of animals all over the world. In the middle of the zoo there is a pond, where you can ride a boat row a paddleboat.

If walking on a hot day makes you exhausted, you can hop in a “train” that runs around the place. At the sides of the park there are several stages, where you can see an ape or a parrot show, for instance.There are some restaurants selling foods inside the zoo.Aside from watching animals, there is also amusement available for children to enjoy.

Dusit Zoo is open daily from 8 a.m. till 6 p.m. The entrance fee is only 100 baht for adults and 50 baht for children.
